VOD and TV series availability.

UPDATE………………

In working with the VOD & TV Series provider we have re-negotiated a reduced pricing for our Community members. VOD & TV Series can be activated on our members XCIPTV app for $3.75 per device per month with no commitment. Testing is now completed and the app is now listed in all TelUS XCIPTV apps under “Accounts”. You MUST have a separate username and password to access VOD & TV Series Premium services. For more information please call 386-401-6825 ext 4 and request access to the new Premium VOD & TV Series service.

————————————————————————————————-

As many of you know, VOD and TV Series has been removed from the XCIPTV app as a free service. While many of you have resolved to using other free app’s such as Zion or Typhoon we have tested and now approve and provide as an alternative 2 other methods of VOD.

Method 1 – Cinema PRO app. This is a separate app on your Android box or Firestick. For CBN customers the app is $2.00 per month per connection (per box or device). The most noticable difference from the free app’s is that it is more reliable and the yellow links will provide less buffering and higher quality resolution on Movies and less buffering on Series. Get Cinema PRO by going to https://xl2s.io/cinemapro2182 from your device web browser or contact CBN at 386-401-6825 ext 4 to schedule us to remotely download it for you.

Method 2 – we have secured a new VOD/series provider for you that will provide VOD and Series right in your TelUS XCIPTV app. This is all integrated into the xciptv program so no need to go anyplace else for the services. The service is $3.75 per month per device. If you have the TelUS xciptv app please let us know and we can remotely access the services for you and provide a username/password to you.

As always, we will continue to make every effort to provide you with the best app management services at the lowest possible prices. Thank you for your support of our Community service and please stay safe.

Stream 1 is back up

As many of you know, Stream1 is back up. The provider appears to still be having issues with their EPG  (TV guide) however the service has remained stable for a few weeks now. One big change is that VOD and TV series has gone to a monthly pay service. More to follow on this on a later post.

If you have not been moved to the new TelUS XCIPTV app please reach out to us at 386-401-6825 ext 4 and schedule a remote session to change your app. If you have been upgraded please feel free to use either Stream 1 or Stream 2.

Stream 1-TPK servers down

NOTICE

Stream1 provider TPK has been pulled from service. The owners are starting a new service and we are in the process of testing and updating xciptv programming. As soon as we are happy with the results we will begin adding the service back to your Android boxes.

For those with Firesticks, I cannot program them remotely therefor we will need to either have you do the program changes or secure your Firestick for reprogramming. We will notify everyone as we progress.

Update on Stream 1

The provider for Stream1 is down for the weekend. They are having some sort of major issue that they are unable to fix quickly. Please use Stream 3 until notified differently.

We will update as we have more information.

—————————————————————————

Stream 1 appears to have gone down around 10:10pm. Please change account in XCIPTV to Stream3.

To change, when the login comes up, hit your back button, then go down to the settings button on the bottom right hand side of the screen. When the next screen appears select ACCOUNTS and then select Stream 3 Login.

If in fact you are currently watching a channel on Stream 1 DO NOT change the channel or you will lose connection to the server.

We will update as we have them, the provider is working on the issue now.

Stream 3 & Cinema 24 down

Stream 3 came back online around 5:30 this evening. I have completed correcting all known account issues with their server and all services for Stream 3 and Cinema 24 should now be back up and working. If anyone is continuing to have login issues please let us know

——————————————————–

At approximately 7am this morning the Stream 3 provider went down due to a main server issue. The main server controls all login for both Stream 3 and Cinema 24. Both services remain down as of this notice and the team continues to work to restore service to the accounts. At this time there is no ETA for repair.

For all of our Stream 3 users please change over to Stream 1 to use your IPTV service. Should your XCIPTV bring up a login screen go to the settings icon on the bottom right hand side of the screen. If an electronic keyboard is blocking your view hit the back buttom to hide the keyboard. Once you hit the settings screen a new window will appear, hit the “Account” button and you will be directed to the normal account screen where you can select Stream1 and hit login…no username or password will be needed. XCIPTV should then direct you to Stream 1, load as normal and you should be able to view your service from there.

We will keep everyone updated as to when Stream 3 will be back in service.

Community BroadBand team

For our IPTV only customers NOT using CBN internet – your ISP may be throttling your bandwidth

As we continue our heavier than normal use of the internet during these stay home/work from home times, many ISP’s and wireless providers have begun to heavily limit bandwidth usage. Discussions with the technical staff of many companies has validated what many of us in the technical community already knew.

Of the leading wireless providers, Verizon and Xfinity mobile throttle iptv and video download hardcore. If you are trying to watch IPTV or video using your wireless devices or hotspot you really need to utilize a vpn to ensure that you are not bandwidth limited by your provider. According to reliable sources ATT is almost as bad as Verizon and Xfinity, Tmobile is not too bad except for prime time hours 5-9pm.  At least in Florida.

For those using Spectrum or ATT for an internet provider please note that both will limit your bandwidth based upon the IP address of your router, irrespective of what you are using the internet connection for.

For those users you should follow this advice from top technical experts – Use a VPN (especially at night) – they don’t heavily throttle during the day, but you still may be prone to it. Also, before you go to bed, DISCONNECT your router from the power and leave it disconnected over night. Plug it back in in the morning. By doing so you force your router into getting a new IP address from your internet provider. Sometimes IP addresses get marked by your ISP provider for different reasons and you may be throttled. This was coming directly from AT&T and Spectrum field techs. You should also turn off your router for more than a few hours, just unplugging and plugging it back in will simply retrieve your old IP address. Turning your router off for a few hours will force your router to get a new IP address from the provider. Renewing the IP address will ensure that your internet service is not bandwidth limited by your provider.

For our managed app customers using the above providers on our Android boxes, we provide Express VPN to aide in reduction of bandwidth limitations (this however is not a fix all). It is normally found in the orange Video box on the main screen but may or may not be activated. Should you attempt to activate it and require a username/password please reach out to us for remote support and activation. You should note that use of a VPN may require you to change VPN vendors from one server (i.e.-Maimi/Tampa/Dallas/New York/etc.) to another to maximize your utilization experience.

NOTE – CBN never limits bandwidth for any reason therefore the above information DOES NOT pertain to any customer utilizing our network.
