Remote support policy for free and paid app’s on your IPTV box or stick

As many of our customer’s know, CBN & TelUS has previously provided several “free” app’s on our Android box programming and app management services as a courtesy to our customer’s. Doing so provides many of our customer’s the opportunity to see first hand the power of their box and what is possible via the internet.

Recently many of our customer’s have come to the realization that streaming on their TV box or stick can require frequent app updates to these “free” app’s in order to stay current with the app programmer’s changes. Unfortunately with the constant changes generated by these free app’s it is becoming impossible for CBN or TelUS to guarantee the continuous functionality of these “free” app’s. Additionally it is becoming more and more costly and time consuming for us to provide free remote support for a “free” app. As a result, TelUS has provided many of our more technically inclined customer’s with information to allow them to do updates to their “free” app’s themselves.

Additionally, we have begun offering several new inexpensive pay app’s that provide more reliable and higher quality services to rival the “free” app’s and as with the live video app’s, such app’s are supported remotely under your remote app management monthly fee’s.

Based upon all of this, effective August 1st we will no longer offer “free” app upgrade support via remote services without a remote service fee to assist us in the time and expenses involved with such updates. A remote programming fee of $25.00 per session will be quoted and applied going forward for all remote service requests on  “free” app service work.

Below you will find a list of app’s currently supported under your existing remote app software service monthly fee, if the app is not listed below it is considered a “free” app and as such will only be supported via the per session remote programming fee listed above:
